About the Pub
i launched buzzkill in august of 2019 on a wing and a prayer, really. no solid plan. just a name and the knowledge that my love for music could be overwhelming at times.

i started this whole thing on tumblr, posting playlists i'd made on spotify simply because it was something i loved to do and wanted to share it with everyone i knew. i've been writing album reviews for highlight magazine since january of 2019, and i knew that i loved to write about music, but i wanted to give myself a space where i could experiment and post anything i wanted. before i could blink, i'd found some really wonderful people who also loved to write about the things they were passionate about, and now here we are! a new year, a new site, the same undying fire for the things we love. since i launched, i've wanted buzzkill to be a place anyone could feel comfortable to post their art, and i'm excited to work with more creators, artists, and musicians than ever this year.

if you're interested in becoming a contributor, whether it be one-time or regularly, please don't hesitate to reach out. i'd love to make space for your passions here.
